As part of monitoring the implementation of the Diversity Convention, I am pleased to inform you that our country, through the Executive Secretariat of the CNEDD, has received technical and financial support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), to put in place rapid actions to facilitate the updating of the National Strategy and its Action Plan to implement the new post-2020 global biodiversity framework adopted at the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the Convention on Biological Diversity, which took place in December 2022 Montreal in Canada.

Among the rapid actions, is the updating of the National Strategy and its Action Plan on Biological Diversity (SNPA/DB) in order to align it with the Post 2020 Global Biodiversity Framework. Since the process of updating its National Strategy and Action Plan takes place in several stages and requires the involvement of all stakeholders, it is essential that this process be known by all actors in order to facilitate the updating of the said strategy.
